The Society for Consulting Psychology (SCP) provides a center for those interested in psychologically-based consulting to individuals, teams, organizations, and communities. SCP members engage in a very diverse range of consulting activities and work within both not for profit and for profit settings, sometimes as external consultants and sometimes as internal consultants.

I would like to particularly welcome you to the Division 13 SCP website which I believe you will find to be an excellent resource that will provide you valuable information. Know that the website has both a public aspect open to all and a members’ only aspect, the latter of which contains additional information of relevance to those interested in the practice and science of consulting.

The website will offer you a glimpse of a group where you will find a high level of friendliness and a welcoming place for ideas. Beyond the website, we have several other outlets for exploring best practices—our journal (the Journal of Consulting Psychology), our list sever and bulletin board where anyone can ask and answer questions from our community, our newsletter, our midwinter conference, our CE webinars, and our shared interest groups. For a small group, we are very active, very social, and very communicative!

As President, I am proud of my colleagues and what they have and are accomplishing. In continuing the traditions of the giants who came before me, let me invite you to join in the activities of the Society of Consulting Psychology. I know you will find a welcoming atmosphere.
